Windansea Surf Club members get 20% off Famous products with the club code.

La Jolla, California / United States
A La Jolla surf club with a history reaching back to its original 1963 roster. Its mission combines surfing, youth support, community service and protection of the ocean and coast.
The club story.
The club lists 40 people on its original 1963 roster, including founder and president Chuck Hasley. Its charter-member archive connects the current club to that first generation.
Membership & community.
Membership is by invitation. Applicants need an active member mentor and two active member sponsors. The club describes an interview and a vote after service and participation in meetings and events. Charter, regular and honorary membership categories are listed.
The club identifies youth support, charity, competition and coastal protection as parts of its mission. Its official site describes the club as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
The beach & break.
Windansea Beach / La Jolla Shores
Windansea is a rocky La Jolla shoreline with surf breaks formed by underwater reefs. The City of San Diego warns of moderate to severe shore break. The club also runs its youth and community events at La Jolla Shores; those events are not at the Windansea reef.
