Famous team wax program
West Coast Board Riders members get 20% off Famous products with the club code.
Famous supplies wax to surf clubs and teams. Every team gets its own code: 20% off surf wax, traction and apparel, shared by a coach, captain or club officer. How the program works.
California regional network / United States
A regional surf-community organization linking hometown clubs and generations through competition, mentoring and local service. It is not one local club or one competition squad.
The club story.
The current official homepage traces West Coast Board Riders to 2016, while its published logo says established 2017. The site describes its growth into the wider US Board Riders movement. The board page includes Don Meek, Darren Brilhart, Ziggy Williams, Chris Moreno and Casey Wheat, who is explicitly memorialized.
Membership & community.
The official Find a Club page directs people toward local clubs. Its rules require a local connection through birth, education, five-plus years of residency or regularly surfing the hometown for direct inland residents, with special cases decided by the board. Confirm current rules and local club membership separately.
The current official mission emphasizes hometown pride, intergenerational camaraderie, mentoring, beach cleanups and youth outreach. WCBR is a regional part of a wider national surf movement; it is not described as every individual club's operator.
The beach & break.
California regional clubs
There is no single regional home break. Its published competition history includes Lower Trestles, while local clubs represent their own communities. Exact current regional event venues and public meeting points should be checked per event.
Official footer contact: 1516 South Coast Highway, Laguna Beach, CA 92651. It is not a confirmed event meeting point.
Official beach guideContests & events.
The official Events page shows a 2025 season schedule and 2024/25 rankings, with standings dated March 4, 2025. These are past-season records as of October 2, 2026. The Wheat Cup and national championship are documented competition types, not confirmed future dates.

Athletes & heritage.
The board page includes Casey Wheat as a memorial figure and lists Chris Moreno, Ziggy Williams, Darren Brilhart and Don Meek. These are organization links, not a current selected surf squad. Its rules describe seven divisions with four surfers per division, tag-team heats and WSL judging.
Athlete / archive sourceSponsors.
The Supporters page presents partner marks. Its homepage names A New Earth Project and Jacks Surfboards in historical 2024 event posts. Those dated event relationships do not establish a current-season sponsor agreement.
