The surf program.
The district-hosted Austin Wade page describes Falcon Surf Club meeting weekly and taking a smaller group to school competitions. Its contest calendar is explicitly October 2023 through February 2024. The 2025-26 SSS sources list Torrey Pines in Divisions 1 and 2. These show different dated program and squad evidence, not a founding date or current weekly schedule.
Joining & eligibility.
The Surf PE course profile describes swim and water-safety assessment and student-supplied boards, wetsuits and transport. That course is not automatically the competitive club, and its older published terms should be reconfirmed. No signup is accepted here.
Community & support.
The Falcon page frames the club as shared ocean enjoyment plus optional competition. The school foundation describes general after-school funding support, but no surf-specific contribution or sponsorship was verified.
The beach & safety.
The historical Falcon calendar lists Oceanside South Jetty, Ponto in Carlsbad and Avalanche in Ocean Beach as 2023-24 contest venues. These are not permanent practice locations or current meetup instructions. The school is in San Diego.
Contests & results.
The district-hosted page labels a historical Division 2 schedule, while the seed lists Torrey Pines in both 2025-26 Division 1 and 2 sources. A and B squads are counted once as a school. Current divisions, 2026-27 events, entry deadline, costs and competition selection need organizer confirmation.
Coaches & school ties.
The district-hosted Falcon page lists Coach Wade and Coach Shea as contacts for its posted program. Its calendar is dated 2023-24, so these names are not treated as confirmed present appointments. No student contacts or roster details are included.
