The surf program.
The school announced Dave Post as head surf coach on October 17, 2022, with the Tartans entering the Scholastic Surf Series. The official team selector still includes Surfing-Varsity. This establishes school-published surf activity, not a confirmed current roster or founding date.
Joining & eligibility.
The 2022 announcement describes a competitive program and a focus on student health; it is not a current tryout notice. Current school eligibility, grades, sign-up window, club versus competition selection, swimming checks, clearance, fees, equipment, parent consent and transport must be confirmed with the authorized adult operator. No enrollment, payment or student data is accepted here.
Community & support.
The 2022 announcement describes Posts earlier volunteering with Northern Baja Surf Club, board and wetsuit drives, and organizations supporting migrants and children with disabilities. These are historical coach activities, not verified Tartan team projects or current partner commitments.
The beach & safety.
The school announcement locates its November 20, 2022 SSS opener at 9th Street Huntington Beach. That is a past contest venue, not a current home break or practice invitation. Present meetup, beach access, transport, supervision and conditions decisions: confirm with the adult operator.
Contests & results.
The seed identified the school in the 2025-26 Orange County SSS source. At review on October 3, 2026, that same published workbook is titled 2026-27 and its current first tab has blank matchup rows. Old seed attribution is not reused as current results. The school team page shows a 2026-27 heading and empty statistics, which do not establish a win-loss record.
Coaches & school ties.
The 2022 school announcement names Dave Post. The live Surfing-Varsity selector target instead lists Jennifer Cuda, Pamela Conti and Rebecca Tufo, also seen in the swimming page source. This inconsistency is not turned into a verified surf staff list. Confirm current surf leadership through athletics. The official school crest is used, not a team endorsement.
