The surf program.
The school-linked club directory lists Surf Club. The Forge reported on October 31, 2025 that the surf team began in 2002 and competes despite being a club. That founding year is attributed to dated school-newspaper reporting, not independently certified. The 2025-26 SSS LA-Santa Barbara sheet gives later team results.
Joining & eligibility.
The October 2025 Forge report says the club welcomes surfers of all levels. That is dated reporting, not a current entry promise. The school-linked directory provides an adult advisor route, but current grades, sign-up, selection, swim checks, clearance, dues, equipment, consent and transport need confirmation. Recreational club membership and competition selection may differ. No student enrollment is accepted here.
Community & support.
The Forge describes a successful club rush, a goal of increasing participation and adapting a small-wave practice to dryland training. These are dated accounts of club life, not current commitments. Student officers, their emails and personal quotations are not copied.
The beach & safety.
The October 2025 Forge article describes Thursday 7-8am practices at Hendrys Beach. The school-linked directory instead lists Thursday 7am in room 69. A campus meeting and an ocean practice may be different activities, but that distinction is not assumed. Current meeting location, beach, timing, transport, access, adult supervision and conditions decisions must be confirmed through the program operator.
Contests & results.
The 2025-26 SSS LA-Santa Barbara sheet records Santa Barbara finishing 4-1 overall, including a 44-21 win over Cate and a final listed 65-18 win over Loyola White. Its 46-42 loss to Carpinteria is kept visible rather than calling the season undefeated. These are dated team results, not a current ranking.
Coaches & school ties.
The school-linked directory names Tyler Ravelli as advisor. October 2025 Forge reporting instead names Travis Manach as advisor and JP Garcia and Isao Tonma Tomatsuri as coaches. Those source roles are not merged into a confirmed current staff list; present appointments require school confirmation.
