San Marcos High School
Famous team wax program
San Marcos High School riders get 20% off Famous products with the team code.
Famous supplies wax to surf clubs and teams. Every team gets its own code: 20% off surf wax, traction and apparel, shared by a coach, captain or club officer. How the program works.
A San Marcos surf-team website with a new-season notice, older registration headings and practice-count inconsistencies that need operator confirmation.
The surf program.
The team website calls itself the San Marcos CA Surf Team and announces the 2026/2027 season with a September 30, 2026 registration deadline. Its registration form still carries a 2025/2026 heading, while its published rules refer to SMHS/SMUSD. The official San Marcos school and 2025-26 SSS Division 3 competition source provide separate context. Site wording does not establish current school sanction, a full roster or an open enrollment period.
Joining & eligibility.
The team website describes a team registration process, a payment and fundraising requirement, and separate parent-led SSS registration and waiver steps. The current homepage deadline has already passed and the form heading is older. This profile collects no student or medical data.
Community & support.
The team website has a support page saying it is raising money for the team. That is a published fundraising route, not verification of a current campaign, beneficiary accounting or commercial sponsor. The registration page describes fundraising expectations separately from registration. No payment instructions or student identities are reproduced.
The beach & safety.
The practice page says there are three practices each week but lists only Thursday 3:45-5:30pm and Saturday 8:30-10:30am, usually at Turnarounds. It says coaches can change the location through Remind based on conditions. The missing third session and current season schedule remain unresolved; this is not an invitation to show up. Current meetup, transport, access, adult supervision and water-safety plan: confirm directly.
Contests & results.
The 2025-26 SSS San Diego Division 3 sheet records San Marcos defeating Cathedral Catholic 69.5-61.5 and losing its final listed matchup 79-49 to Coastal Academy. The final overall record is 1-4, not the same as its discipline records. The team website has a 2026-27 notice but older form headings; no new contest or current ranking is invented.
Coaches & school ties.
No current named head coach was established in the reviewed team and school content. The separate official school site is supplied as a verification route; its general athletics listing does not prove surf eligibility. Student identities and personal contacts are omitted.
Sources & open questions.
Checked October 3, 2026. Historical SSS figures reflect the earlier 2025-26 source read. Published SSS workbook links are reused and now show newer 2026-27 grids; those links are not permanent archives or current rankings. Confirm current entries and fixtures with the school and league. Public-source profile, not a school endorsement. Old seasons and results remain dated. Current operating details require the school or authorized adult program operator.
