The surf program.

The SDA Foundation enrichment page lists Surf Team as an all-year activity. The SSS 2025-26 sources list San Dieguito in Divisions 1, 2 and 3; squad suffixes are folded into one school affiliation. The 2026 NSSA state table records second in varsity with 66 points and first in junior varsity with 127. These are dated results, not a current national ranking or founding record.

Joining & eligibility.

A historical school guidebook describes the Mustangs team as part of a separate surf club whose members were SDA students. That older structure is not asserted as current policy. Foundation support also does not establish school sanction or automatic selection.

Community & support.

The foundation describes oversight of beyond-classroom program funds for equipment, travel and coaches, and includes surf among supported activities. Those are foundation-wide support arrangements, not a verified surf-specific budget or donor list.

The beach & safety.

The school lists 800 Santa Fe Drive, Encinitas, CA 92024. Its coastal community does not establish a particular practice beach or public session. SSS and NSSA competition venues differ by season. Current home break, approved meetup, transport, parking, supervision and access: obtain from the program operator.

Contests & results.

The 2026 NSSA state results are varsity second and junior-varsity first; those squads belong to one school profile. The SSS source seasons and NSSA event results are identified separately. No 2026-27 fixture, selection policy or next contest is implied by past results.
