The club story.
The official event archive records a community introduction on December 5, 2025 at OB Beans & Coffee Roasters. This is a documented public launch, not a verified incorporation date. The FAQ names the founding group: Kyle Knox, Roger Eales, Layne Harrison, Pat Quealy, Andrew Niemann, Cameron Aldrich, Chris Russell and Keone Bentanzos.
Membership & community.
The official membership page lists annual membership at $60 and family membership at $150. The FAQ welcomes involvement beyond contests and describes seven competition divisions with four surfers in each: under 14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50 and up, and women of any age.
The club identifies itself as a 501(c)(3), aiming to preserve local surf history, build community and educate younger and older surfers. Its homepage documents a surf-history night and beach expression sessions. Those are past community stories, not future invitations.
The beach & break.
Pacific Beach to Imperial Beach
This is the club's stated community span, not a single exclusive home break. Its competition archive includes Seaside Reef, Oceanside Pier and Salt Creek as away event locations.
The public launch was held at OB Beans & Coffee Roasters. That historical event venue is not presented as a permanent club office.
