The surf program.

The official Activities Home lists Surf Team and links a school program document. November 14,2016 Red Bank Green reporting describes its first season with 30 participants. This dated account is not a current roster count. Its published association wording varies, so it is not silently used to rename the NSSA event in the seed. The school campus is 74 Ridge Road, Rumson.

Joining & eligibility.

The official school 2026 fall registration page uses Genesis Parent Portal forms and valid medical paperwork, with summer and fall deadlines in June and July now past. This is general athletics guidance, not an open surf tryout or proof that every club has the same process. The school-linked, undated program document describes any skill level joining and competition against other schools. It does not remove medical clearance or ocean-safety requirements, and is not a current open tryout. Current surf grades, eligibility, selection, clearance, water skills, fees, equipment, parent consent and transport need confirmation from the school or authorized operator. No enrollment, payment or student data is accepted here.

Community & support.

The 2016 local report records a structured new surf program for girls and boys and a practice beach opposite Via Ripa in Sea Bright. That beach is historical context, not current permission or a meetup. The undated school-linked program document lists Madison Avenue beach in Long Branch, different from the 2016 beach reference. Neither is presented as a confirmed current practice location.

The beach & safety.

The campus is not a surf meetup. Current practice beach, access permission, transport, parent consent, water skills, ocean supervision and weather decisions must be confirmed by the authorized adult operator. A dated beach reference is not a standing invitation or current safety plan. No unsupervised session is offered here.

The 2025 NSSA Northeast event entry list carries this school affiliation. Entry rows are not current results or standings.

Coaches & school ties.

The school-linked Surf Team document names Tom January as advisor. It is still formatted as an undated website-content template, so the current appointment needs school confirmation. The 2016 report names Kevin Pfister as coach, a historical role not substituted for the advisor or promoted to current coach. Current coaching and ocean-supervision lineup require confirmation.
