Famous team wax program
Radford High School riders get 20% off Famous products with the team code.
Famous supplies wax to surf clubs and teams. Every team gets its own code: 20% off surf wax, traction and apparel, shared by a coach, captain or club officer. How the program works.
The Honolulu Rams, with surfing in the school athletics directory, an official head-coach listing and a girls OIA entry at the inaugural 2026 state event.
The surf program.
The official athletics departments page lists surfing and links a dedicated page naming its head coach. The May 2026 event record separately lists Radford HS - Girls (OIA). This confirms dated representation, not present roster size or an exact surf-program founding date. The campus is at 4361 Salt Lake Boulevard, Honolulu.
Joining & eligibility.
The official DOE Clearance Info page directs athletes to watch the OIA risk-management video and complete participation/parent consent, concussion and physical forms. It says the signed forms must be handed directly to an athletic trainer in room 119. The school links Register My Athlete, but no surf-specific open tryout or guaranteed place was verified. Current surf eligibility, grades, tryouts, selection, clearance, water-safety checks, fees, equipment, parent consent and transport need school confirmation. No enrollment, payment or student data is accepted here.
Community & support.
The school provides athletics leadership, training support, a parent-student athlete handbook and an athletics-store route. These school-wide resources are not proof of a surf-specific fundraiser, equipment grant, beach cleanup or approved volunteering opportunity.
The beach & safety.
The campus is not a surf meetup. HHSAA identifies the past May 1-2, 2026 state event at Hookipa Beach on Maui, not a current training venue. Current beach, access, transport, supervision, water skills and ocean-condition decisions must be confirmed by the authorized adult operator. No standing meetup or unsupervised practice is offered here.
Contests & results.
Liveheats lists Radford HS - Girls (OIA) with 330 points at the May 2026 state event. This entry does not prove a boys state entry, full-sized squad or a state title. The combined leaderboard is not official girls team standings.
Coaches & school ties.
The official Surfing page names Zane Spielman as Head Coach Surfing. HHSAA names Kelly Sur as athletic director. The school clearance page and HHSAA differ in their athletic-training staff names, so those names are not blended into a current surf support team. Current 2026-27 appointments require school confirmation. The displayed seal is school branding, not surf-specific artwork. Student identities and personal contacts are omitted.
