The surf program.
The school's historical surfing-legacy article describes prominent alumni and former faculty and an unofficial surfing hall of fame. Its statement that surfing was not an official ILH sport is historical, not current truth after the 2026 sanctioned season. A March 2026 student-newspaper report distinguishes earlier club participation from the new official season.
Joining & eligibility.
The school Sports Medicine page uses Magnus Health through the parent portal. Health/contact information, appraisal, athletics consent and medical-treatment authorization must be completed or uploaded by the first practice, including summer programs, preseason conditioning and tryouts. Current surf grades, eligibility, tryouts, selection, clearance, water-safety checks, fees, equipment, consent and transport require school confirmation. No enrollment, payment or student data is accepted here.
Community & support.
School athletics stresses teamwork, relationships and student development rather than winning at all costs. The historical surf article connects alumni and former faculty with the wider surfing community. Neither source proves a current surf-team fundraiser, beach cleanup, gear fund or approved mentoring opportunity.
The beach & safety.
The school campus is not a surf meetup. HHSAA identifies the May 1-2, 2026 state event at Hookipa Beach on Maui. This past event is not a current training venue. Current beach, access, transport, supervision, water skills and ocean-condition decisions must be confirmed by the authorized adult operator. No unsupervised practice or standing meetup is offered here.
Contests & results.
The school Spring 2026 Athletics Roundup lists boys varsity surfing first in ILH and sixth in HHSAA, and girls second in ILH and sixth in HHSAA. Liveheats shows girls 2445 and boys 2181 points in its combined table, not those official team placements. The 2026-27 public team schedules are blank and are not treated as fixtures or cancellation.
Coaches & school ties.
The verified school 2026-27 varsity boys and varsity girls surfing pages have blank Coaches sections. A search result naming Christopher Lee belongs to a different team, so it is not assigned to surfing. The official white school wordmark is shown on a dark backing for readability, not as surf-specific artwork. Student identities and personal contacts are omitted.
