The surf program.

The official athletics page describes stand-alone, combination and Pac-Five offerings and ILH/HHSAA rules. The 2026 state source separately labels Pacific Buddhist Academy - Boys (ILH). The general page's list does not explicitly explain surfing's arrangement, so it is not treated as proof that surfing is a Pac-Five team or a full-sized standalone squad. The school is at 1754 Lusitana Street.

Joining & eligibility.

The school athletics overview directs families to sport-season information and current ILH schedules. Its reviewed text does not supply a surf-specific signup, open tryout, clearance packet or participation arrangement. Families should ask the school athletics operator whether current surf participation is individual, school-led or cooperative; no option is assumed from generic Pac-Five membership. Current surf grades, eligibility, tryouts, selection, clearance, water-safety checks, fees, equipment, consent and transport require school confirmation. No enrollment, payment or student data is accepted here.

Community & support.

The official athletics philosophy values effort as gratitude to teammates, coaches and opponents and places integrity, sportsmanship and development ahead of winning. These are school-wide values, not proof of a surf-specific service event, mentoring project or equipment fund.

The beach & safety.

The school campus is not a surf meetup. HHSAA identifies the May 1-2, 2026 state event at Hookipa Beach on Maui. This past event is not a current training venue. Current beach, access, transport, supervision, water skills and ocean-condition decisions must be confirmed by the authorized adult operator. No unsupervised practice or standing meetup is offered here.

Contests & results.

Liveheats records Pacific Buddhist Academy - Boys (ILH) with 610 points at the May 2026 state event. This records dated school representation, not a girls state entry, a complete squad or a state team title. Individual student posts are not reproduced. The combined leaderboard is not official boys standings.

Coaches & school ties.

The HHSAA school directory identifies Loren Otake as athletic director. The official athletics overview does not identify a current surf coach, and general Pac-Five staffing is not automatically assigned to surfing. The displayed academy wordmark is school branding, not a surf-team endorsement. Student identities and personal contacts are omitted.
