A longboard club built around amateur surfing, sportsmanship, family activities and coastal conservation. The club supports youth surfing and preservation of surfing culture and history.
The club story.
Its official history traces roots to the original Oceanside Surf Club in the 1950s, followed by a revival as OLSC in the early 1980s. Membership & community.
Membership is open to anyone interested in supporting the club mission. The club describes general membership meetings, regular surfing and social events, and family participation. The club lists support for the California Surf Museum and local school surf teams. Its mission calls for an annual longboard competition, with proceeds beyond operating expenses donated to selected local nonprofits.
The beach & break.
Oceanside Pier / Pier View South
The club stages its longboard contest and beach festival at Oceanside Pier. Pier View South is the sandy beach south of the pier, with surfing, bodyboarding and bodysurfing contests. Visit Oceanside says water activity is prohibited within 100 feet of the pier; follow lifeguard flags and posted boundaries.

The 41st Annual Oceanside Longboard Surf Contest and Beach Festival ran August 7-9, 2026, at Oceanside Pier and is now a past event. The club has published results, including the King and Queen of the Pier invitational.

The official 2026 invitational results list Taylor Jensen (OLSC) second in King of the Pier, Dylan Sharp (OLSC) second in Queen of the Pier and Summer Romero (OLSC) fourth. The club also names LJ Richards, Phil Edwards and the Eaks brothers among its historical members and associates. This is not a complete current team roster.
