A New York regional surf-community chapter connecting Long Island, New York City and other New York surfers through local clubs, philanthropy and friendly competition.
The club story.
The official About page dates the chapter to summer 2023 and credits Victor Alarcon, Chris Hamlet, Mike Nelson, Andy Ryan, Jon Tand, Tyler Breur and Corey Stanton as founders. It was inspired by Australian and US boardriders organizations. Planned clubs and expansion are described as goals, not proof of a complete active affiliate network.
Membership & community.
Membership is open to people who want to join, with parents or guardians completing forms for under-18s. The About page also references US Board Riders resident guidelines. The Join page directs applicants toward local clubs and invites new-club inquiries.
The chapter prioritizes community, camaraderie and philanthropic causes ahead of competition. Its About page seeks founding donor contributions, but that appeal is not a statement of money already raised.
The beach & break.
Rockaway to Montauk / New York surf communities
The About page describes coastal communities from Rockaway to Montauk, including Nassau, Suffolk and New York City, with wider New York ambitions. It is not one beach club.
