The surf program.

The school championship ledger records girls MIL team titles in 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2024, a boys title in 2023 and another boys title in 2026. Its February 20, 2026 surf story calls 2015 the first MIL title in any school sport and describes a new middle-school program. The older program page still calls MIL the only sanctioned league; that is not repeated as current truth after the 2026 HHSAA expansion.

Joining & eligibility.

The official athletic-training page uses HealthyRoster for clearance, not Blackbaud. It lists a Hawaii athletic physical completed by a licensed provider, training consent and emergency authorization. The school says physicals are valid for one year and must cover the whole sport season. General upper-school expectations and the new middle-school surf pathway do not establish surf-specific eligibility or guaranteed entry. Current surf eligibility, grades, tryouts, selection, clearance, water-safety checks, fees, equipment, parent consent and transport must be confirmed with the school. No enrollment, payment or student data is accepted here.

Community & support.

The February 2026 surf story describes ocean awareness, water skills and life-rescuing techniques as part of the new middle-school pathway. The April coach interview describes friendly ties among schools, coaches and teammates. These are school and dated program accounts, not an unsupervised beach session or a certified rescue qualification.

The beach & safety.

The school campus is not a surf meetup. HHSAA identifies the May 1-2, 2026 state event at Hookipa Beach on Maui. That past event does not establish a current practice beach. Current beach, access, supervision, transport, water skills and ocean-condition decisions must be confirmed with the authorized adult operator. No standing meetup or unsupervised practice is offered here.

Contests & results.

The school's 2026 championship ledger and April reporting confirm the boys MIL season team title. The May school state report records boys third overall and girls seventh, while explaining boys team qualification and girls individual qualification. Liveheats records boys 2931 and girls 2100 points in its combined table; these are not the same as official standings. The seed also has NSSA source attribution, which is not substituted for current school eligibility or state results.

Coaches & school ties.

The February 20, 2026 school report names head coach Lyndee Sprenger and coaches Leslie Hainsworth, Benny Martin, Eric Poulsen and Dylan Payne. The April 13 update names Sprenger, Hainsworth, Martin and Payne without Poulsen; omission is not treated as a departure. HHSAA uses variant spellings for Sprenger. Current 2026-27 appointments need school confirmation. The official white school wordmark is institution-wide, not a surf-team logo. Student identities and personal contacts are omitted.
