The surf program.

Maui Christian Academy's official programs page describes athletics as part of its Christ-centered mission and lists high-school surfing. March 2025 reporting describes the surf team's second season and the girls' first MIL meet win. July 2026 reporting describes the academy entering its fourth year in the league; HHSAA gives a 2024 association-merger year. These are different milestones, not one inferred founding date.

Joining & eligibility.

The official programs page directs sports questions and offers to coach or help to Athletic Director Mr. Garza. It does not expose a surf-specific enrollment packet, open tryout date or selection policy in the reviewed text. Its visual season grouping is not used as proof of a current surf season; confirm the surf calendar and eligibility directly with athletics. Current surf eligibility, grades, tryouts, selection, clearance, water-safety checks, fees, equipment, parent consent and transport must be confirmed with the school. No enrollment, payment or student data is accepted here.

Community & support.

July 2026 reporting describes cooperation with other schools through MPAC and a Haleakala Waldorf partnership for canoe paddling. That article does not establish a combined surf team, and this profile preserves Maui Christian's separate surfing competition identity. The school welcomes questions about helping athletics.

The beach & safety.

The school campus is not a surf meetup. HHSAA identifies the May 1-2, 2026 state event at Hookipa Beach on Maui. That past event does not establish a current practice beach. Current beach, access, supervision, transport, water skills and ocean-condition decisions must be confirmed with the authorized adult operator. No standing meetup or unsupervised practice is offered here.

Contests & results.

Liveheats lists Maui Christian Academy - Girls (MIL) with 1828 and Boys (MIL) with 500 points at the May state event. March 2025 reporting records the girls' first MIL meet win, 58-54 over Maui Prep; the April 2026 final meet report records the girls second on the day behind Lahainaluna. Meet wins and combined-event points are not state or season team titles.

Coaches & school ties.

The school programs page names Mr. Garza as athletics contact and the HHSAA directory names David Garza as athletic director. March 12, 2025 Maui Now reporting names Dana Anderson as head coach in its girls-title account. That dated report does not verify the full boys/girls coaching lineup or 2026-27 appointments. Current surf coaches require school confirmation. The displayed academy seal comes from the official programs site. Student identities and personal contacts are omitted.
