A Kihei charter school with a current official surf coach page and a girls MIL state-event entry, without treating a legacy sports page as a current-season invitation.

The surf program.

The current official high school teams page links Surf, whose page names Ken Goring. The school is at 650 Lipoa Parkway in Kihei. A fetched legacy sports page says surfing is in season and links a 2021-22 slideshow, but that older route now returns a browser error. The current school routes are used instead of assuming its undated wording is current.

Joining & eligibility.

The current forms page links physical/concussion management and student participation/parent consent forms. The legacy page states a 2.0 GPA standard and no failing class, but its dated context and browser error mean present eligibility needs confirmation. The current high school teams page names surfing but does not establish a new-season tryout window or guarantee selection. Current eligibility, grades, sign-up dates, competition selection, swimming checks, clearance, fees, equipment, consent and transport must be confirmed with the authorized adult operator. No enrollment, payment or student data is accepted here.

Community & support.

April 3, 2025 Maui Now reporting describes a Kihei Charter luau fundraiser for the broader schools sports and arts programs. That was a past school-wide event, not a present surf-only fundraiser or sponsor.

The beach & safety.

The Kihei campus is not a surf practice location. HHSAA puts the May 2026 state event at Hookipa Beach on Maui. A school address or championship venue does not establish an authorized home break. Present beach, meetup, access, transport, supervision and conditions decisions: verify through school athletics.

Contests & results.

Liveheats records Kihei Charter School Girls (MIL) with 450 points at the May 1-2, 2026 state event. That reviewed entry does not prove a boys entry or a full-sized surf squad. The combined club table is not relabeled official girls team placement or a season ranking.

Coaches & school ties.

The current official Surf page lists Ken Goring as surf team coach; HHSAA also lists him under surfing. The current general athletics page lists Jordan Piano, not a surf appointment. The older page lists a different general contact, so that legacy contact is not used as current. School seal only, not a surf endorsement. Student identities and personal contacts are omitted.
