A Kāneʻohe Hawaiian-language immersion school whose surf club is described as perpetuating the sport through ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi.
The surf program.
The school video archive labels an inaugural surf-season celebration in June 2024 and separately records recognition for perpetuating surfing in ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi. The archive entry date is not assumed to be the founding date. A March 2026 NFHS article describes surfing woven into the school curriculum. The 2026 state event carries school affiliation.
Joining & eligibility.
The school offers accepted-student 2026-27 enrollment forms, which are not surf signup. No surf-specific joining or clearance packet was verified in the reviewed pages. TheMarch 2026 NFHS report describes junior-lifeguard certification for state competitors; that dated event requirement does not replace current school clearance or establish eligibility for every grade. Current surf grades, selection, clearance, ocean skills, fees, equipment, parent consent and transport need confirmation from the school or authorized operator. No enrollment, payment or student data is accepted here.
Community & support.
The official surf recognition video title links the sport with ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi. NFHS reporting describes its cultural and curriculum role. General family-support and nonprofit resources at the school are not converted into surf sponsorship or donation requests.
The beach & safety.
The campus is not a surf meetup. Current practice beach, permission, transport, parent consent, water skills, weather and ocean-supervision decisions require the school or authorized adult operator. A reported past event beach is not a standing invitation or current safety plan. No unsupervised session is offered here.
Contests & results.
The 2026 HHSAA state-championship source lists this school affiliation. It establishes dated state-event representation, not a complete league membership list or full squad size. Student identities and individual results are not copied.
Coaches & school ties.
The current official staff directory identifies Kamehaʻililani Waiau as principal, also named inMarch 2026 NFHS reporting, but that is not a surf-coach appointment. No current surf coach was verified in the reviewed school pages. Student identities and personal contacts are omitted.
Sources & open questions.
Checked October 3, 2026. Public-source profile, not a school endorsement. Old seasons and results remain dated. Current operating details require the school or authorized adult program operator.
