The surf program.

HHSAA identifies Kauai High School as the Red Raiders at 3577 Lala Road in Lihue. The May 2026 Liveheats event records Kauai HS Boys. April reporting puts Kauai second in KIF club points at the local final. Kauai, Kapaa and Waimea are separate schools; Kapaa boys state runner-up status is not assigned to Kauai.

Joining & eligibility.

The school athletics and coaching pages provide the general adult verification route, but the reviewed pages do not establish a complete current surf tryout, registration or ocean-safety policy. A state-event entry and a fundraiser do not prove open enrollment. Current eligibility, grades, sign-up dates, competition selection, swimming checks, clearance, fees, equipment, consent and transport must be confirmed with the authorized adult operator. No enrollment, payment or student data is accepted here.

Community & support.

Kauai Community Colleges events page lists SURFILMUSIC as a fundraiser benefiting the Kauai High surf team, at its Performing Arts Center on October 22. The page has a September 2026 image but an unusually broad 7am-8:30pm time range, so exact screening time and availability require organizer confirmation. No ticket purchase or booking is offered here.

The beach & safety.

April 27, 2026 Garden Island reporting places the KIF final at Pine Trees in Hanalei. The state event was at Hookipa Beach on Maui. Those are dated contest locations, not a Lihue home break or authorized practice invitation. Present beach, access, transport, supervision and conditions decisions: confirm through the school operator.

Contests & results.

Liveheats lists Kauai HS Boys (KIF) with 360 points at the May 1-2, 2026 state event. April KIF reporting separately gives Kauai seven club points at the final; these scores are not merged. The combined Liveheats table is not relabeled official boys team placement. No girls state entry or Kapaa title is inferred.

Coaches & school ties.

The reviewed official school coaching page lists several spring sports but does not establish a named surf coach. An omission is not proof there is no coach; confirm with school athletics. The HHSAA directory identifies the school athletics office, not a surf appointment. The official school seal is used only as a school mark. Student identities and personal contacts are omitted.
