The surf program.

The official school athletics calendar includes surfing among spring sports, while its teams and coaches page embeds an athletic-department list revised June 17, 2026. HHSAA names Kapolei the girls team runner-up at the May 2026 state championships. These are school and event records, not a current roster or a surf-team founding date.

Joining & eligibility.

The school resources page links athletics requirements and sports-physical resources. Its spring start notice lists surfing for February 16, 2026, a past date rather than the next season. A current surf-specific tryout, certification requirement and clearance sequence were not fully established in the reviewed pages; confirm through athletics. Current eligibility, grades, sign-up dates, competition selection, swimming checks, clearance, fees, equipment, consent and transport must be confirmed with the authorized adult operator. Community & support.

The official surf calendar records a contest hosted with Waialua, Mililani and Waianae. That dated school-coordination evidence is not a permanent partnership, charity or sponsor.

The beach & safety.

The school event body says the contest was moved from Makaha to Queens Kuhio Beach and rescheduled from March 24 to March 31. Its queried URL date is not the final event date. A separate April calendar item names Ala Moana Bowls. These are dated contests, not a home practice schedule. HHSAA puts the state event at Hookipa Beach on Maui. Current beach, access, transport, supervision and conditions decisions: confirm through school.

Contests & results.

HHSAA explicitly lists Kapolei as GIRLS Team runner-up at the May 1-2, 2026 championships. Liveheats separately records Kapolei HS Girls (OIA) with 3,150 points. The official runner-up status comes from HHSAA, not the combined club-table rank. No boys state entry is inferred from this reviewed girls record.

The official teams page embeds an athletic-department PDF revised June 17, 2026 listing Kristin Prado for Surfing. This dated school-published role was checked October 3 and should be reconfirmed for present assignments. The official school K mark is used, not a surf-team endorsement.
