The surf program.
The official school calendar records a surf-team event at Huntington Beach Pier in April 2018. A district October 2018 news post links coverage of Edison surfers helping children with disabilities enjoy surfing. The 2026 NSSA state and national tables establish later school competition evidence.
Joining & eligibility.
The publicly accessible Edison surfing website describes a PE class and a smaller competition team, with an academic threshold. Its page is undated and current school ownership was not independently confirmed, so its counts, timetable and entry terms are not adopted as policy.
Community & support.
The district October 2018 post documents a historical adaptive-surfing contribution. It does not establish that an event or partnership still runs today.
The beach & safety.
The school lists 21400 Magnolia Street, Huntington Beach, CA 92646. Its 2018 calendar named Huntington Beach Pier for a contest; the 2026 NSSA events used their own published venues. A campus address and historical contest do not establish a current home break. Practice meeting point, access, transport, parking and supervision need confirmation.
Contests & results.
The 2026 NSSA state table records sixth in varsity with 24 points and fourth in junior varsity with 35. The national varsity table records fourth with 67. Squads count as one school, and dated results do not prove current roster size or future participation.
Coaches & school ties.
The official school Fall Sports coach directory checked October 4, 2026 lists Zoran Forgiarini as the varsity surfing coach and publishes zforgiarini@hbuhsd.edu. This is the current published adult school contact, not a student roster or permission to enroll through Famous.
