The surf program.

The school clubs page describes Surf Club and says advanced members may represent the school in competition. Its text spells the association NASSA, while the source event is NSSA Northeast; the school wording is not silently treated as a different verified league. The event entry also misspells Donovan as DONAVAN. The official identity is Donovan Catholic at 711 Hooper Avenue.

Joining & eligibility.

The official Surf Club description welcomes those interested in surfing, bodyboarding and protecting the coastline, with advanced members potentially competing. It does not guarantee a competition place. General athletics asks for physical paperwork returned to its Athletics Office; no club-specific clearance packet or open tryout was verified. Ask the school moderator for the current process. Current surf grades, eligibility, tryouts, selection, clearance, ocean safety, fees, equipment, parent consent and transport need confirmation from the school or authorized operator. No enrollment, payment or student data is accepted here.

Community & support.

The school says members may work with the Surf Rider Foundation and Marine Mammal Rescue Unit. This is a possible activity in the official club description, not proof of a current partnership, approved volunteer session or rescue qualification.

The beach & safety.

The campus is not a surf meetup. Event entries do not establish a current practice beach, approved access or supervision. The authorized adult operator must confirm the current beach, transport, consent, water skills, weather and ocean-condition decisions. No unsupervised session or standing meetup is offered here.

The 2025 NSSA Northeast high-school event entry list carries this school affiliation. Entry rows are not converted into current scores or results.

Coaches & school ties.

The official club page lists Mr. Courtney as moderator without a full name in the reviewed text. The athletics site is linked by the school and provides general athletics support, not proof of additional surf coaching. Current appointment, ocean supervision and assistant roles need school confirmation. The displayed DC mark comes from that official athletics site.
