Connections PCS
Famous team wax program
Connections PCS riders get 20% off Famous products with the team code.
Famous supplies wax to surf clubs and teams. Every team gets its own code: 20% off surf wax, traction and apparel, shared by a coach, captain or club officer. How the program works.
A Hilo public charter school represented by a boys BIIF championship entry, without assuming a full surf squad or a girls entry.
The surf program.
The Hawaii State Public Charter School Commission identifies Connections Public Charter School as a K-12 school at 174 Kamehameha Avenue in Hilo. The school sports page provides separate athletics context; Liveheats records Connections PCS Boys at the May 2026 HHSAA event. The school is not confused with unrelated commercial surf schools using the word Connections.
Joining & eligibility.
The reviewed school sports page does not establish a complete surf-specific enrollment policy. State-event representation alone does not prove a school-wide ongoing program or an open tryout. Current school eligibility, grades, sign-up window, club versus competition selection, swimming checks, clearance, fees, equipment, parent consent and transport must be confirmed with the authorized adult operator. No enrollment, payment or student data is accepted here.
Community & support.
The school sports page includes 2025 volleyball galleries; those are not surf-team activities. The reviewed school, commission and championship sources do not establish a surf cleanup, mentoring project, charitable partner, equipment fund or volunteer role.
The beach & safety.
March 11, 2026 Hawaii Tribune-Herald reporting describes the inaugural BIIF meet at Honolii and Connections longboard participation. HHSAA places the later May state event at Hookipa Beach on Maui. Those are dated contest sites, not a confirmed permanent home break. Present beach, schedule, transport, access, adult supervision and ocean-safety decisions: confirm through the school.
Contests & results.
Liveheats records Connections PCS Boys (BIIF) with 810 points at the May 1-2, 2026 event. March reporting separately describes a Connections boys longboard win at the first BIIF meet; that is an individual event, not a school team championship. The combined club table is not relabeled an official team standing, and no girls entry is inferred.
Coaches & school ties.
No current surf head coach was established in the reviewed school or commission content. A general school director is not silently named surf coach; the school is the adult verification route. The official bird artwork was observed as the school homepage background and is used as a school mark only. Student identities and personal contacts are omitted.
