A Carlsbad school surf affiliation appearing in two SSS high-school divisions, with school-published Surf PE and a documented competitive team history.

The surf program.

The Carlsbad High PE page links Surf PE course guidance. The student newspaper Lancer Link described the competitive surf team in February 2015, including regular-season San Diego contests, state events and nationals. It reported A and B squads. The 2025-26 league listings are folded into one school profile rather than counted as separate schools.

Joining & eligibility.

Surf PE is a course listing; it is not proof that every enrolled student is on the competition squad. The 2015 report described around 20 surfers on each of two squads, but that count is historical. Ask the school PE/athletics office for the current surf-program route.

Community & support.

Contests & results.

The 2025-26 SSS San Diego Division 1 and Division 2 ratings both contain Carlsbad. These are season-specific squad evidence, not two distinct schools or a guaranteed future entry. The 2015 report described a September-to-June season, but it is not the 2026-27 calendar.
