The surf program.

The official Academy athletics page lists surf among winter sports. A December 2017 school report records the cadets competing in SSS Division 5 and winning the shortboard and longboard categories in their matchup with Granite Hills. That is a dated team milestone, not proof of the program founding year or a current title. The latest seed evidence is the league 2025-26 Army Navy label.

Joining & eligibility.

This profile covers the high-school competition program, not every grade the Academy serves. School admission and surf-team entry are separate processes. The school describes required sport or PE participation, but that does not establish guaranteed surf-team selection. The school lists its address as 2605 Carlsbad Boulevard, Carlsbad, CA 92008, and describes private beach access. That is a campus fact, not permission for the public to enter or join a session. SSS and other school reports refer to Army Navy Beach as a competition venue. Current practice break, access, parking, lifeguard arrangements and permitted spectator point: confirm with the organizer.

The 2025-26 San Diego Division 5 source lists Army Navy. The 2017 school report describes one early matchup, not this season standings. League seasons, contest sites and divisions can change.
